I would have simply put this in a poll, but it seems that option is not available for non-subscribers.
I'm currently doing some media/art design research, and there is one thing I've noticed on DA that does make me curious. So please, help me answer the following:

why do non-japanese people create manga/doujin in japanese?

This is the question. The following answers that you can choose from:

1. it makes them feel cool

2. they'd rather be known in japan first before their own country

3.their country does not appreciate anime (as art) than japan does

4.they do not want to lose their japanese profeciency

5. this is the latest fashion / fad / craze..

6. other (suggest)

Personally, I find it pretty cool that people are talented enough to make a manga let alone type it in a language that is not native to them.

what is your answer
